International Superstar shares love for Writers’ Tears whiskey

Walsh Whiskey Distillery’s Writers’ Tears Copper Pot has caught the attention of an international superstar, who couldn’t help but share her love of our whiskey.

American singer songwriter Katy Perry posted a picture of a bottle of Writers’ Tears on her Instagram story last night for all of her 60 million followers to see. Captioned ‘drink up’, the photo has since been shared across social media, hopefully winning lots of new fans for our exquisite whiskey.

Writers’ Tears Copper Pot is a unique style of whiskey embedded in history. A marriage of both Malt and Pot Still whiskey, distilled exclusively in copper pots, the style became known as ‘the Champagne of Irish whiskey’ and is said to have been a source of great inspiration for many of Ireland’s great writers.

It seems it’s still a source of inspiration for our creative set!
