Walsh Whiskey wins Exporter of The Year Award

Carlow, Ireland – October 2015, The George Bernard Shaw Theatre and VISUAL Centre of Contemporary Art in Carlow was the venue for the annual Carlow Chamber Business Awards in which leading businesses form various areas were honoured through the acknowledgement of innovation in business, best practice, enterprise and overall business success.

County Carlow Chamber of Commerce President, Derek Shannon, said, “The interest has grown again this year, with a record number of nominations and entries. Our eighteen business categories were keenly fought and all our winners have shown that they are among the best in business.”

Walsh Whiskey Distillery were awarded the Exporter of the Year award on the night.  Woody Kane, Marketing Manager said, “It was an honour to be nominated in the Exporter of the Year category.  There was some tough competition in the category and I was delighted to hear our name being called.  Export is an important market for Irish Whiskey as we develop our global export strategy for Walsh Whiskey as well as for Irish whiskey in general.”
